Tips For Fourth Of July Decorating

The Fourth of July is one of the most fun and easy holidays decorate for before your guests arrive. Whether you are planning a barbecue for the whole family, or doing some simple snacks for a few of your closest favorites, you can add a festive flare to your home by mixing a few decorations with some things you already have in your home right now.

We recommend sticking to simple but primary spots to place your holiday decorations – putting most of your energy into the wreath on front door, mantle and the main table. If you just have to decorate other places, prop a flag up and sprinkle some red and blue confetti on a white tablecloth for an easy but put together look. Here are a few more tips for Independence Day entertaining success.

Use What You Have
Hydrangeas are in full bloom, and they make a perfect centerpiece for your main table. Stick them in a mason jar and add a few inexpensive flags for a lovely arrangement that will wow your guests. Also, open your refrigerator and grab some fruit to decorate. Mix those blueberries and strawberries to add some patriotic colors to your table.

Get the Kids to Craft
What’s a holiday gathering without some crafts! Get those kids busy in advance of the holiday and have them create a banner with red and blue bandanas, make streamers or paint some planters for the occasion. If you need an extra hand with food, have them make patriotic popsicles or fruit-ka-bobs to impress your guests. Here are some of our favorite ideas from Parents Magazine for perfect holiday crafting.

That Wreath Though
